proxify

Windows CLI for applying the room-wise MNNIT hostel LAN configuration published by the Computer Centre. It configures the Ethernet adapter, DNS and Windows/WinHTTP proxy, requests UAC elevation, then stays running until a real HTTP CONNECT through the proxy succeeds.

Proxify automatically selects a physical Ethernet adapter, including names such as Ethernet 3. Inspect its choices with proxify adapters, or override it with --adapter="Ethernet 3". Ctrl+C stops a pending verification loop. Only addresses allocated to the specified room are used; the tool does not try addresses assigned to other rooms.

The bundled CSV was extracted from the MNNIT IP Address Scheme documents. Refresh it after MNNIT publishes changes:

Release

Publish npm after creating an account and logging in:

npm login
npm publish

proxify must be available on npm; otherwise use an npm scope (for example @your-org/proxify) and update package.json.

For Winget, attach the generated proxify-win-x64.exe to a GitHub Release, calculate its SHA-256, put the release URL and hash in winget/manifests/*.yaml, then submit those three manifests to microsoft/winget-pkgs in a pull request. Winget validates the installer and, once merged, users install it with winget install YourPublisher.Proxify.
