Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@usemotif/compiler-babel

The Babel-plugin form of motif-js's static style-prop extractor.

Used by @usemotif/compiler-metro inside the React Native build pipeline, and consumable directly by Babel-driven web bundlers. Most web users want @usemotif/compiler-web instead - it wraps this plugin for the unplugin ecosystem (Vite, Rollup, Webpack, etc.).

Install

yarn add -D @usemotif/compiler-babel

Options worth knowing

  • onBail(event) - called for each motif element left to the runtime, with filename, line, column, element, reason (dynamic-props, has-spread, or the reason the wrapper had to stay, such as ref-attribute), and the dynamic props. Setting it never changes the output. The bundler plugin and the Metro transformer accept it too.
