Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Verdaccio ESLint Configuration

Readme

@verdaccio/eslint-config

Shared ESLint configuration for Verdaccio projects, using ESLint 10 flat config.

What's included

The default export provides a complete flat config with:

| Layer | Plugin / Config | Description | | ---------- | ------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- | | Base JS | @eslint/js recommended | Core JavaScript rules | | TypeScript | typescript-eslint recommended | Type-aware linting for .ts / .tsx files | | Imports | eslint-plugin-import-x | Import ordering, deduplication, and resolution | | Prettier | eslint-config-prettier | Disables rules that conflict with Prettier (applied last) |

Optional exports

The following configs are available as named exports and are not enabled by default. Their plugins are declared as optional peerDependencies — you must install them yourself when using the corresponding config:

| Export | Plugin (peer dependency) | Description | | ----------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- | | vitestConfig | @vitest/eslint-plugin | Vitest recommended rules for *.test.* / *.spec.* | | jestConfig | eslint-plugin-jest | Jest recommended rules for *.test.* / *.spec.* | | reactConfig | eslint-plugin-react, eslint-plugin-react-hooks | React and React Hooks rules for **/*.{jsx,tsx} | | cypressConfig | eslint-plugin-cypress | Cypress recommended rules for cypress/** | | verdaccioConfig | eslint-plugin-verdaccio | Verdaccio JSX rules (no spread, no style, no className object) |

For example, to use vitestConfig:

pnpm add -D @vitest/eslint-plugin

Installation

pnpm add -D @verdaccio/eslint-config eslint

Usage

Basic

Create an eslint.config.mjs at your project root:

import verdaccio from '@verdaccio/eslint-config';

export default [
  ...verdaccio,
  {
    ignores: ['**/dist/**', '**/node_modules/**'],
  },
];

With optional configs

import verdaccio, {
  cypressConfig,
  jestConfig,
  reactConfig,
  verdaccioConfig,
  vitestConfig,
} from '@verdaccio/eslint-config';

export default [
  ...verdaccio,
  ...vitestConfig, // or ...jestConfig
  ...reactConfig,
  ...cypressConfig,
  ...verdaccioConfig,
  {
    ignores: ['**/dist/**', '**/node_modules/**'],
  },
];

Key rules

Code style

  • curly: error (always require braces)
  • no-console: error (allow warn and error)
  • prefer-const, no-var, prefer-spread, prefer-rest-params

Import ordering

  • Groups: builtin > external > internal > parent > sibling > index
  • Newlines between groups, alphabetical within groups

TypeScript

  • no-unused-vars (ignores _ prefixed args)
  • no-floating-promises, no-misused-promises
  • consistent-type-imports
  • no-explicit-any: warn

Global ignores

The shared config ignores these directories by default:

  • __fixtures__, partials, dist, lib, build, node_modules
