Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

VhyxSeal core — zero dependency semantic contract layer

Readme

@vhyxseal/core

The zero-dependency foundation of VhyxSeal — the semantic contract layer between web UI and AI agents. Every other VhyxSeal package builds on this one.

Release candidate — the API is stable; small changes may still land before 1.0.

Install

npm install @vhyxseal/core

What it provides

  • Contract schema — ComponentContract, Condition, ErrorState, Relationship, Capability
  • defineContract() — fills sensible defaults from a built-in intent vocabulary
  • Inference — inferContract() derives contracts from HTML semantics
  • Manifests — generateManifest() builds the document agents read at /__agent__/manifest.json
  • Signing — HMAC-SHA256 signManifest() / verifyManifest() / attachSignature()
  • Security — prompt-injection detection and field sanitisation
  • Action tokens — issueToken(), verifyToken(), revokeToken()
  • Key management — registerKey(), rotateKey(), revokeKey()
  • Versioning — agent/site version negotiation

Usage

import { defineContract, generateManifest, signManifest } from "@vhyxseal/core";

const placeOrder = defineContract({
  id: "place-order",
  type: "action",
  intent: "place-order", // fills safety level, confirmation and reversibility defaults
  description: "Places the current cart as an order",
  consequence: "Creates an order and charges the saved card",
  affects: ["orders", "payments"],
  requires: [],
  requiredPermissions: [],
  contractVersion: "1.0.0",
});

const manifest = generateManifest([placeOrder], {
  domain: "example.com",
  domainVerified: false,
  verificationToken: "",
});

const { signature } = signManifest(manifest, {
  algorithm: "hmac-sha256",
  keyHex: process.env.VHYXSEAL_SECRET!, // ≥ 64 hex characters (32 bytes)
  domain: "example.com", // must match the manifest domain
});

Generate a secret with npx @vhyxseal/cli keygen, and keep it on the server.

Runtime support

No runtime dependencies. Hashing and signing are implemented in TypeScript and use globalThis.crypto.getRandomValues, so the same code runs in Node.js, browsers, edge runtimes and workers.
