Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

The huggingface twin (Protocol 3).

@volter/twin-huggingface

A Protocol 3 Hugging Face Hub twin for localrouter's Node and browser artifact caches. The measured callers and their revisions are in journeys/demand.json.

It creates model repositories with POST /api/repos/create, holds their Git history and LFS objects, and resolves files at a full commit, branch or lightweight tag. Regular files redirect to the resolve cache; LFS pointers redirect to the CDN. Downloads carry the content-derived ETag, repository commit, linked size where applicable, and support Range and If-Range. Git smart HTTP and the basic Git LFS transfer API are content endpoints at the Hub's repository paths, not a fabricated dashboard. This served workflow is driven through APIs and Git; browser repository editing and account settings are outside its scope.

The account door is POST /_twin/users with { "name": "ada" }. It issues that account's write token and fills HF_TOKEN for a World. Create repositories through the vendor API and seed their contents by Git and LFS upload. A token permits writes only in its account's namespace; private reads require the owner or an issued object-download capability. Stored objects and uploads are scoped to their repository; upload links bind the declared object size and digest.

Other Hub operations and the initial-files creation option answer the gap. The measured publication path is Git/LFS. Browser downloads allow Range/If-Range preflight and expose their validators and range metadata. Dataset and Space repositories, organizations and memberships, Xet reconstruction, inference providers, webhooks and the datasets-server API are outside this pack's measured workflow. Published examples with unavailable upstream Git history or an excluded repository type are recorded with reasons in journeys/vendor-examples.json. The customer life publishes explicitly synthetic transport bytes and claims no inference result.

The patched specification restores the Hub’s documented model read as GET /api/models/{namespace}/{repo}. It returns the repository ObjectId as _id, its namespace/name as id, visibility, main commit and file names. Creation stores the namespace and repository name for the known-subject refresh path; its scope declares idAs: '_id'.
