Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@voltui/components

v1.3.3

Published

Accessible Angular UI components built on ng-primitives with signals, zoneless change detection and Tailwind CSS v4. Use the package, or copy the source with @voltui/cli.

Readme

@voltui/components

Angular UI atoms — buttons, inputs, cards, badges, alerts, overlays — built on signals, Tailwind CSS v4 and ng-primitives. They stay out of the way of your product's own layout and design.

This package is one of Volt's two first-class workflows: import components from npm and receive fixes through semver updates. Prefer owning the source? npx @voltui/cli add button copies the same components into your project.

Installation

npm install @voltui/components @angular/cdk

Angular 21.2+ and 22 are supported, and both are tested against the packed package (install, strict AOT build, browser contracts). @angular/cdk (a peer of ng-primitives) and @angular/router must be at the same major as @angular/core; npm picks the newest CDK on its own, which an older Angular cannot run, so install it explicitly as above.

Import the theme CSS once in your global stylesheet:

@import '@voltui/components/themes.css';

Add the theme provider during application bootstrap:

import { provideVoltTheme } from '@voltui/components';

bootstrapApplication(AppComponent, {
  providers: [provideVoltTheme({ color: 'volt', style: 'sharp', dark: false })],
});

Usage

import { Component, inject } from '@angular/core';
import { RouterLink } from '@angular/router';
import {
  VoltCard,
  VoltCardContent,
  VoltInput,
  VoltNativeButton,
  VoltToastService,
} from '@voltui/components';

@Component({
  selector: 'app-example',
  imports: [RouterLink, VoltCard, VoltCardContent, VoltInput, VoltNativeButton],
  template: `
    <volt-card>
      <volt-card-content class="p-4 space-y-3">
        <volt-input size="sm" class="w-40" aria-label="Project name" />
        <button voltButton (click)="save()">Save</button>
        <a voltButton variant="outline" routerLink="/docs">Docs</a>
      </volt-card-content>
    </volt-card>
  `,
})
export class ExampleComponent {
  private readonly toast = inject(VoltToastService);

  save() {
    this.toast.success('Saved');
  }
}

class on any component is merged with cn() over the defaults and applied to the element that paints it, so <volt-card-content class="p-4"> replaces the default padding.

Tailwind CSS v4

Volt UI ships critical layout styles inside the Angular components. Apps using Tailwind CSS v4 do not need to scan node_modules/@voltui/components with @source for components to render correctly.

Your app can still use Tailwind normally for its own templates:

@import 'tailwindcss';
@import '@voltui/components/themes.css';

Themes

Available theme colors: volt, ember, sage, dusk, glacier.

Available styles: sharp, soft, brutal, ghost, retro.

provideVoltTheme({ color: 'ember', style: 'soft', dark: true });
