Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@vp-tw/eslint-config

v1.0.5

Published

ViPro's ESLint configuration

Readme

@vp-tw/eslint-config

ViPro's ESLint configuration.

Check here to preview the ESLint inspection.

Installation

pnpm i -D eslint @antfu/eslint-config @vp-tw/eslint-config

Usage

Similar to antfu/eslint-config but with additional options:

// eslint.config.ts
import { fileURLToPath } from "node:url";

import { includeIgnoreFile } from "@eslint/compat";
import { vdustr } from "@vp-tw/eslint-config";
import path from "pathe";

const __filename = fileURLToPath(import.meta.url);
const __dirname = path.dirname(__filename);
const eslintignorePath = path.resolve(__dirname, ".eslintignore");

export default vdustr(
  {
    // By default, we disable `stylistic` and use `prettier` instead.
    // stylistic: false,

    // Options (defaults shown)
    react: false, // Enable React support with eslint-react strict-typescript rules
    svelte: false, // Enable Svelte support
    packageJson: true, // Enable package.json linting
    emotion: false, // Enable Emotion CSS-in-JS linting
    tanstackQuery: false, // Enable TanStack Query linting
    mdx: false, // Enable MDX linting
    storybook: false, // Enable Storybook linting
    prettier: true, // Enable eslint-config-prettier to disable formatting rules

    // Extends options for fine-grained control
    extends: {
      react: {
        typescript: true, // Use strict-typescript rules (default: true)
      },
    },
  },
  includeIgnoreFile(eslintignorePath),
);

Features

React Support

When react: true, this config uses @eslint-react/eslint-plugin with strict-typescript rules by default. You can disable TypeScript-specific rules:

export default vdustr({
  react: true,
  extends: {
    react: {
      typescript: false, // Use strict rules instead of strict-typescript
    },
  },
});

pnpm Workspace Sorting

Automatically sorts keys in pnpm-workspace.yaml alphabetically using yaml/sort-keys rule.

Contributing

Development

pnpm install            # Install dependencies
pnpm build              # Build @vp-tw/eslint-config (in packages/eslint-config)
pnpm test # Run tests for @vp-tw/eslint-config
pnpm run checkTypes # Type check entire workspace
pnpm lint # Lint entire workspace

Release

Managed by changesets. CI auto-publishes when merged to main.

pnpm changeset # Create changeset interactively

Adding Dynamic Import Wrappers

When adding support for optional ESLint plugins, create a wrapper in src/lib/:

// src/lib/my-plugin.ts
import type MyPlugin from "eslint-plugin-my";
import { interopDefault } from "@antfu/eslint-config";

// Explicit return type required to avoid TS2742 build errors
const myPlugin = (): Promise<typeof MyPlugin> => interopDefault(import("eslint-plugin-my"));

export { myPlugin };

See CLAUDE.md for detailed architecture and patterns.
