Instant Airtable Trigger by vwork Digital

This is an n8n community node for instantly triggering workflows based on Airtable webhooks. It allows you to watch for changes in Airtable tables or fields, and trigger workflows when records, fields or tables changed. This is improved functionality over the native N8N Airtable trigger which relies on polling, usually meaning a delayed trigger on your workflow.

Important Notes

• When triggered this node uses 2 API calls to your Airtable base (list webhooks and list payloads).
• Please be aware that Airtable limits 10 webhooks per base, read more here.
• The access token you use for this node needs webhook read/write scopes.
• Creator level permissions are required in order to register a webhook, read more here.

• Include additional field data in the output
• Include previous cell values of changed fields in the output
• Watch for field schema or table metadata changes

Credentials

You need an Airtable Personal Access Token to use this node.

1. Go to your Airtable account page
2. In the API section, create a Personal Access Token with permissions to access your bases
3. Use the token in the n8n credentials for this node

Compatibility

Tested with n8n version 1.92.2

Usage

1. Create a new workflow
2. Add an "Airtable Webhook Trigger" node as the trigger
3. Configure the credentials
4. Select the base and table you want to monitor
5. Select fields to watch for changes
6. Select any additional fields to include in the output
7. Choose if you want to include previous values in the output
8. Select which events to trigger on (record creation and/or updates)
9. Set any other additional fields to include in the Airtable webhook specification
10. Save the workflow and activate it

The node will then trigger your workflow when the specified changes occur in your Airtable table.
