Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@wanialabs/create-zstack

v0.2.0

Published

Scaffold a product from the zstack template (giget + nypm).

Readme

@wanialabs/create-zstack

Scaffold a zstack product with citty + giget + nypm. The CLI package lives in the authoring monorepo and is excluded from consumer clones (see root AUTHORING.md).

Install / run

pnpm create @wanialabs/zstack@latest my-app
npm create @wanialabs/zstack@latest my-app

Any launcher works, but the clone is a pnpm workspace and always installs with pnpm. If pnpm is missing, the CLI skips install and tells you to run corepack enable pnpm (or npm install -g pnpm).

Authoring smoke against this tree:

pnpm --filter @wanialabs/create-zstack start my-app
pnpm smoke:create
ZSTACK_TEMPLATE=git:$(pwd) pnpm create-zstack /tmp/zstack-agents --force --yes --agent-tools=cursor,claude

Defaults to gh:Wania-Labs/zstack (override with --template or ZSTACK_TEMPLATE). Local paths use giget's git: provider (git:$(pwd) or git:./), not file:, and read committed HEAD. Always strips authoring paths (guide, AUTHORING, create-zstack, docs, …, including their dotfiles) via a giget ignore predicate plus a post-download sweep.

pnpm smoke:create generates clones for several identities (Acme Cloud / @acme, default + --agent-tools=all, zstack-demo, shortest, longest) and runs the steps of each clone's ci.yml (install, typecheck, lint, format:check, test, test:workers, build, drizzle checks), plus quick checks for wide-character and punctuation names and --force into an existing directory.

Requires Node.js >=22.5.

Flags

| Flag | Effect | | ------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | --name | Display name: letters, digits, spaces, . ' & -, max 32 columns (default: title-cased target directory basename) | | --scope | npm scope for workspace packages (@acme or acme; default @<slug>) | | --keep-identity | Skip personalization; keep template zstack / @zstack names | | --package-manager / -p | pnpm only. Clones are pnpm workspaces; other values fail with an explanation | | --agent-tools=none\|all\|claude,cursor,… | Tool adapters (CLAUDE.md, .cursor/rules, opencode.json). Omit → TTY prompt; --yes / non-TTY → none | | --mcp=defaults\|docs\|account\|all\|none\|id,id | Docs MCPs by default (Cloudflare docs, Context7, shadcn). Account = Sentry, PlanetScale, CF bindings/observability | | --skills=copy\|symlink\|none | Install .agent/skills into tool skill dirs (default copy; symlink keeps one source of truth) | | --yes / -y | Skip prompts |

Identity is validated before the template download. When --name is given the target directory name is not validated, so create-zstack 2026-app --name Acme works. After download, the clone is rewritten to the chosen name/scope (packages, Compose/Postgres, Alchemy stack, workers, queue/workflow names, brand strings) unless --keep-identity is set. If that fails, a directory the CLI created is removed again. With --force, existing paths the authoring sweep would delete (docs/, .cursor/, repos/, …) are kept.

The target may be missing or an empty directory; a non-empty directory needs --force.
