Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@whitehash/runtime

v0.0.2

Published

Framework-free fxhash artwork runtime controls with an optional React adapter.

Readme

@whitehash/runtime

Framework-free controls for running a content-addressed fxhash generator with a chosen seed and fx(params). The core has no React import and no hosted fxhash default. The optional @whitehash/runtime/react entry exposes the iframe and controller hook.

The controller and parameter codec are extracted from the MIT-licensed fxhash runtime; vendored files retain attribution headers. Platform configuration was replaced by an injected URI resolver, so IPFS/onchfs transport remains caller-owned.

import {
  BlockchainType,
  createRuntimeConnector,
  createRuntimeController,
} from "@whitehash/runtime"

const connector = createRuntimeConnector({
  resolveUri: uri => client.resolveUri(uri, { chain: token.chain }),
})
const controller = createRuntimeController({
  state: {
    cid: token.generatorUri,
    chain: BlockchainType.TEZOS,
    hash: token.iterationHash,
    snippetVersion: token.raw.snippetVersion,
    inputBytes,
    definition: token.raw.params,
  },
  options: { connector, autoRefresh: true },
})
controller.init(iframe)
controller.controls().update({ density: 7 }, definitions, { forceRefresh: true })

React

import { ArtworkIframe, useRuntimeController } from "@whitehash/runtime/react"

function Explore({ state, connector }) {
  const runtime = useRuntimeController({ state, options: { connector, autoRefresh: true } })
  return <ArtworkIframe ref={runtime.ref} title="Artwork variation" />
}

ArtworkIframe supplies the same sandbox and device-permission defaults used by the viewer. useRuntimeController releases event listeners when its controller changes or the component unmounts.

API

| Export | Purpose | | --- | --- | | createRuntimeController({ state, options }) | Own runtime state, parameter controls, URL generation, and iframe synchronization | | createRuntimeConnector({ resolveUri, ... }) | Inject content resolution and optional self-hosted emulator/legacy bases | | directRuntimeConnector | Accept only already-resolved HTTP/data/blob generator URIs | | runtimeContext, runtimeControls | Use the state and fx(params) layers independently | | serializeParams, deserializeParams | Encode/decode fx(params) input bytes | | BlockchainType, runtime/parameter types | Build typed project and control state | | @whitehash/runtime/react | ArtworkIframe, useRuntimeController |

The core is ESM-only. React >=18.3 <20 is an optional peer because consumers of the framework-free entry do not need React.
