Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Storybook Addon HTML

This addon for Storybook adds a panel tab that displays the rendered HTML for each story.

Requirements

Storybook 10.x

Use this version of the addon.

Storybook 9.x

Use version 8.x of this addon.

Installation

Install the addon with your package manager.

npm i --save-dev @whitespace/storybook-addon-html

pnpm add -D @whitespace/storybook-addon-html

yarn add -D @whitespace/storybook-addon-html

Register addon

Usage

All options are configured under the html story parameter.

root

Override the wrapper selector used to capture HTML.

removeComments

Remove comments from captured HTML. Set to true for all comments, or pass a RegExp to remove matching comments only.

removeEmptyComments

Remove empty comments like <!----> and <!-- -->.

highlighter

Configure syntax highlighter rendering in the panel.
