Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

The soft3d style of with icons (750 icons): standalone SVGs, IconNode data and CSS class icons. Companion of @withicons/core.

@withicons/soft3d

The soft3d style of with icons for all 750 icons: standalone SVG files and IconNode data, plus their CSS class icons, laid out like @withicons/core, which holds the older styles and the shared API (toSvg, resolve, search, metadata, palettes; its styles.json says which package holds each style). The newest styles have packages of their own because jsDelivr serves at most 150 MB per package.

npm i @withicons/core @withicons/soft3d
import { toSvg } from '@withicons/core'
import { Home } from '@withicons/soft3d'
toSvg(Home, 'soft3d', { size: 32, idSuffix: 'a' })   // gradients: give each inline copy its own idSuffix
import url from '@withicons/soft3d/svg/soft3d/home.svg'

CDN: https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@withicons/soft3d@latest/dist/svg/soft3d/home.svg

| path | contents | |---|---| | dist/svg/<style>/<name>.svg | standalone SVG (CSS variables flattened to their defaults) | | dist/nodes/<style>.js (.cjs) | IconNode data: one tree-shakable named export per icon plus nodes / default | | dist/classes/with-<style>.css, dist/classes/<style>/<name>.css | CSS class icons (<i class="with with-home with-soft3d">); the @withicons/classes loader finds them by itself |

Every framework package (@withicons/react, vue, svelte, angular, solid) and @withicons/web, @withicons/static hold every style, these included.

glass, clay, bento, suite, dock, liquid, chrome, soft3d, utsav, rangoli, halloween, christmas, lunar, valentine draw real SVG gradients: a <defs> of linearGradient / radialGradient whose stop colours are the same CSS variables, so palettes and --with-* overrides recolour them too. Every inline copy gets its own gradient ids (components, <with-icon>, with-icons.js), so one page can show the same icon many times in different colours. When you inline SVG strings yourself, pass idSuffix (toSvg in @withicons/core, svg / loadSvg in @withicons/web, render in @withicons/dynamic) with a different value per copy. Files and <img> need nothing.
