Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Cross-platform CLI for WotoKOL overseas creator discovery

Readme

WotoKOL CLI

Cross-platform command-line client for discovering overseas creators from natural-language requirements. It returns compact creator basics and AI profile summaries from WotoKOL semantic search.

Requirements

  • Node.js 18 or newer on macOS, Linux, or Windows
  • Network access to https://api.wotohub.com
  • A WotoKOL account (an existing account or a new registration)

Install

After the npm package is published:

npm install --global @wotokol/cli
wotokol doctor

For local development:

npm install --global .
wotokol doctor

Sign in from the browser

Start device authorization:

wotokol login start --json

Open the returned verificationUriComplete, sign in or register, verify the displayed code, and explicitly confirm access. Then use the returned loginId:

wotokol login wait <login_id>
wotokol doctor

The browser never receives the device secret or API Key. The CLI stores the pending device secret and final credential in the current user's private configuration directory and does not print either value.

If device authorization is unavailable, the standard-input command remains as a fallback:

wotokol auth --key-stdin

Write the Key only to the running process's standard input. The CLI never accepts it as a command-line argument or prints it to stdout or stderr. Agent conversations and tool inputs may be retained by the Agent platform, so rotate a Key if it is exposed unexpectedly.

WOTOKOL_API_KEY remains available for CI and terminal environments and takes precedence over a saved Key.

macOS or Linux:

export WOTOKOL_API_KEY="your-api-key"

Windows PowerShell:

$env:WOTOKOL_API_KEY = "your-api-key"

Windows Command Prompt:

set WOTOKOL_API_KEY=your-api-key

Run wotokol doctor to confirm setup. Do not pass the Key as a command-line argument or commit it to a repository.

Search creators

wotokol creator search \
--description "Find US TikTok beauty tutorial creators with at least 100K followers" \
  --page 1 \
  --page-size 20

Inspect the machine-readable command contract:

wotokol schema creator.search

The CLI calls https://api.wotohub.com/api-gateway/search/naturalSearch and sends the Key through the api-key request header. It writes each result as one compact JSON document to stdout and waits for the write to finish; diagnostics go to stderr. Creator output omits avatarUrl and blogTagsAi. Exit code 2 indicates invalid arguments or missing configuration; exit code 1 indicates an API or runtime failure.

Verify and publish

npm test
npm pack --dry-run
npm publish --access public

Publishing requires access to the @wotokol npm organization.
