Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Kling AI video generation plugin for Xpert

Readme

Kling AI video generation

@xpert-ai/plugin-kling provides asynchronous Kling AI video generation tools for Xpert and implements the platform videoGeneration protocol v2.

Authentication

The runtime uses the current Kling API 2.0 API Key flow:

Authorization: Bearer <api-key>

The plugin never writes the API key, provider result URLs, or complete provider responses to logs or Workspace metadata. Access Key / Secret Key JWT credentials are intentionally not accepted by the runtime because Kling's current documentation limits that credential format to legacy API designs and states that new models require an API Key.

Capability matrix

| Model | Text to video | Image to video | First + last frame | Raw reference images | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | kling-v3 | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | | kling-v3-omni | Yes | Yes | Yes | Up to 7 | | kling-3.0-turbo | Yes | Yes | No | No |

The plugin does not declare raw reference video or audio support. The current Omni API accepts a reference video by URL, while Xpert supplies private Workspace file references; no official upload transport was verified that would make those files safely reachable by Kling. Kling Elements are also not treated as raw reference images: the provider requires a separately created element_id.

No cancellation tool is exposed because the current official task API documents creation and query but does not document cancellation.

Official documentation decisions

Checked on 2026-08-07:

The implementation uses https://api-singapore.klingai.com, /tasks?task_ids=..., and the official task statuses submitted, processing, succeeded, and failed. Completed MP4 output is downloaded immediately and persisted through Workspace Files because provider result URLs expire.
