Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@xpert-ai/plugin-sap-bw

SAP Business Warehouse database plugin for Xpert. It preserves the legacy sapbw data-source identity and inherits the public typed XMLA transport, catalog/cube discovery, selected-cube schema inspection, tabular description, authentication, cookie, retry, timeout, language, and TLS behavior.

The plugin adds the SAP-specific SAP_VARIABLES rowset through SapBwRunner.discoverVariables() and maps SAP BW measure types such as CURR, DEC, DATS, and TIMS to the platform column contract.

Catalog discovery defaults to the standard DBSCHEMA_CATALOGS rowset. For BW systems where this enumeration is too slow, set the data-source option catalog_discovery to cubes. The runner then discovers MDSCHEMA_CUBES and returns its distinct catalog names through getCatalogs(). This mode lists only catalogs containing cubes accessible to the current user; it does not fabricate catalogs or suppress transport errors.

The unit suite uses an in-memory HTTP boundary. A live integration check requires an SAP BW XMLA endpoint and credentials.

Build and package commands must run from the xpertai pnpm workspace. Building SAP BW through Nx builds @xpert-ai/plugin-xmla first. The SAP BW runtime entry then bundles the locally built XMLA implementation, while keeping the XMLA package as a build-time workspace dependency and a type-level peer. This makes local source-code deployment self-contained: the host never has to pass the pnpm-only workspace:* protocol to npm.

Packing from the package directory runs the same build and verifies the bundled runtime entry before creating the archive:

pnpm exec nx build @xpert-ai/plugin-sap-bw
pnpm --filter @xpert-ai/plugin-sap-bw pack

Use the generated package archive for installation outside this pnpm workspace.

MDX generation, SAP hierarchy semantics, variable serialization into MDX, and multidimensional cellset materialization remain in @xpert-ai/ocap-xmla. Those are semantic analytics responsibilities and are not duplicated in the database runner.

This plugin introduces no persisted or global artifacts, so it does not require a system artifact namespace. The sapbw key is the existing data-source protocol identifier.
