Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

DeepSeek Harness bundle: mount the XuanLing MCP server as native mcp__xuanling__* tools AND retire the built-in filesystem tool rows (tool-fs, tool-fs-search, tool-str-replace-editor) so XuanLing becomes the model-facing filesystem layer.

xuanling-dsh-tools-replace

English | Simplified Chinese

Replacement DeepSeek Harness bundle for the complete XuanLing catalog. It disables the three model-facing native filesystem rows and exposes XuanLing as the filesystem layer while retaining shell, web, LSP, approval, PTY, jobs, and orchestration integrations.

dsh plugin --profile web add @xuanling-rs/[email protected]

This command augments DSH's shipped Web profile. Use --profile headless for the shipped Headless profile. Unknown profile names start with the base bundle only and do not provide a runnable Web or Headless application by themselves.

The exact @xuanling-rs/[email protected] runtime is installed in the profile and started through its verified JS launcher. No global npm package is used.

The bridge caches the complete paginated MCP catalog but initially exposes only mcp_catalog__xuanling. Because this variant disables the native filesystem rows, activate the exact XuanLing filesystem raw names required for the next operation before attempting it; the resulting tools use the normal mcp__xuanling__* names.

Its result adapter keeps one complete Native text projection and removes only accidental duplicate blocks that exactly repeat structuredContent; the structured value remains available to Code Mode and validation.

The adapter accepts only JSON object frames from the child. Malformed output or an unresolved request at clean child exit returns a nonzero status; host termination is forwarded and force-terminated after a 500 ms grace when needed.

This variant removes native read_image, read-before-edit observation guards, and editor cards from the model-facing filesystem surface. XuanLing SHA-256 preconditions and strict patch contracts apply instead. Use this package only when that tradeoff is intentional, and do not combine it with another XuanLing tool bundle in the same profile.
