meow

meow is a local CLI that stores your notes in ~/.meow/meow.db, generates embeddings through an OpenAI-compatible API using @ai-sdk/openai-compatible, and lets you search related content from the terminal.

Setup

bun install
bun run build

During development:

bun run dev -- --help

Commands

meow init
meow config show
meow config add embedding default https://your-openai-compatible-endpoint/v1 sk-xxxx text-embedding-3-small
meow config add main default https://your-openai-compatible-endpoint/v1 sk-xxxx gpt-4.1-mini
meow config remove embedding default

Data layout

• ~/.meow/config.json: stores grouped model configs in embedding and main
• ~/.meow/meow.db: local libSQL/sqlite database file

config show hides the API key by default.
