Time Conversion

A simple utility package to convert time to different timezones around the world.

Installation

npm install time-convertion

Usage

import { timeConvertion } from 'time-convertion';

// Convert current time to Tokyo timezone
const tokyoTime = timeConvertion(Date.now(), 'Tokyo');
console.log(tokyoTime); // Output: 2026/2/2 18:00:00 (JST)

// Convert to New York timezone
const nyTime = timeConvertion(Date.now(), 'New York');
console.log(nyTime); // Output: 2/2/2026, 4:00:00 AM (EST)

// Convert to London timezone
const londonTime = timeConvertion(Date.now(), 'London');
console.log(londonTime); // Output: 02/02/2026, 09:00:00 (GMT)

API

timeConvertion(timestamp, cityName)

Converts a timestamp to the local time of the specified city.

Parameters:

• timestamp (number): Unix timestamp in milliseconds (e.g., Date.now())
• cityName (string): Name of the city name (e.g., 'Tokyo', 'Vancouver', 'Los Angeles')

Returns:

• (string): Formatted date and time string in the local timezone

The package supports 90+ cities worldwide including:

• Asia: Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul, Singapore, Dubai, etc.
