Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Lotide

A mini clone of the Lodash library.

Purpose

BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.

This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.

Usage

Install it:

npm install @young_jack/lotide

Require it:

const _ = require('@young_jack/lotide');

Call it:

const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]

Documentation

The following functions are currently implemented:

  • function head: function for returning head value of an array (first index from array)
  • function tail: function for returning tail values of an array (all indicies, other than first index, from array)
  • function middle: function for returning middle value(s) of an array (index/indicies at middle from arrary)
  • function countLetters: function for counting number of letters within array
  • function counOnly: function for counting number of certain value(s) within object
  • function eqArrays: function for identifying if arrays are equal to each other
  • function eqObjects: function for identifying if objects are equal to each other
  • function findKey: fuction for finding key within object (if exist, otherwise undefined)
  • function findKeyByValue: function for finding name of keys by value
  • function letterPosition: function for returning indicies of letters from string
  • function map: function for returning array of first index of values from input array
  • function takeUntil: function for returning all values of array until conditional meets
  • function without: function for returning new array without arguments from original array
