Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Financial & time-series charts (candlestick, OHLC bars, Kagi, Renko, horizon) for Zenith Visuals.

Readme

@zenith-visuals/finance

Financial & time-series charts for Zenith Visuals — candlesticks, OHLC bars, Kagi, Renko and horizon charts. Built on the same pure layout engine, theming, tooltip and accessibility primitives as the rest of the SDK, and reusing @zenith-visuals/charts for the cartesian axes and scales.

Includes: CandlestickChart, OHLCChart, KagiChart, RenkoChart, HorizonChart — plus dependency-free transform helpers (computeKagi, computeRenko, priceExtent).

Install

pnpm add @zenith-visuals/finance @zenith-visuals/charts @zenith-visuals/core react react-dom

Data shape

Every chart takes an ordered array of OHLCDatum (oldest → newest):

const data = [
  { label: "2024-01-02", open: 132.1, high: 135.4, low: 131.0, close: 134.8 },
  { label: "2024-01-03", open: 134.8, high: 136.2, low: 133.1, close: 133.4 },
  // …
];

Usage

Candlestick & OHLC

import { CandlestickChart, OHLCChart } from "@zenith-visuals/finance";

<CandlestickChart data={data} />
<OHLCChart data={data} />

Kagi

import { KagiChart } from "@zenith-visuals/finance";

// reversal ≤ 1 is a fraction of mean price (4%); > 1 is an absolute amount.
<KagiChart data={data} reversal={0.04} />

Renko

import { RenkoChart } from "@zenith-visuals/finance";

// boxSize ≤ 1 is a fraction of mean price (2%); > 1 is an absolute amount.
<RenkoChart data={data} boxSize={0.02} />

Horizon

import { HorizonChart } from "@zenith-visuals/finance";

<HorizonChart data={data} bands={3} height={140} />

Transform helpers

The math powering the charts is exported for reuse:

import { computeKagi, computeRenko } from "@zenith-visuals/finance";

const bricks = computeRenko(closes, 2);      // fixed-size price bricks
const kagi = computeKagi(closes, 1.5);       // reversal-based line vertices

Accessibility

Every chart renders an SVG with role="img" and an aria-label (customizable via labels.ariaLabel), per-element <title> tooltips, and honors prefers-reduced-motion.
