Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v0.0.3

Published

Reactive ref compatibility, derived refs and Vue state adapters.

Readme

@zeruxjs/vue

Framework-independent ref primitives and observable/state-store adapters for Vue integrations.

const count=createVueRef(0);
const doubled=mapVueRef(count, n=>n*2);
const sum=combineVueRefs([count,doubled]);
count.value++;
doubled.stop();sum.stop();

// Two-way state synchronization (call stop on teardown):
const stop=syncVueRef(count, externalStore);
stop();

syncVueRef prevents write-feedback loops and returns explicit cleanup. observableToVueRef exposes an immutable ref view with subscription and stop, and fromVueRef/bindVueRef remain compatible with earlier versions. This package does not install Vue plugins or automatically use Vue reactivity APIs; pass adapter results to your framework code.

Section 78: Vue 3 effect-scope bindings

createVueBindings injects Vue APIs instead of hard-importing Vue. It is compatible with effect scopes, setup(), and SSR when the host supplies Vue's actual runtime functions. The legacy standalone createVueRef is not a Vue ref and fromVueRef() without a subscription callback does not observe future writes. Prefer createVueBindings:

import {shallowRef,readonly,getCurrentScope,onScopeDispose,watch} from 'vue';
import {createVueBindings} from '@zeruxjs/vue';
const bridge=createVueBindings({shallowRef,readonly,getCurrentScope,onScopeDispose,watch});
// inside setup() / effectScope.run():
const count=bridge.useStore(externalStore);
// inside SSR setup(): do not leave a long-lived external subscription
const ssrCount=bridge.useStore(externalStore,{ssr:true});
// outside setup(), caller must tear down explicitly:
const {ref,stop}=bridge.connect(externalStore);
stop();

useStore rejects missing scopes rather than silently leaking subscriptions. SSR mode reads a one-time snapshot and creates no external subscription. fromRef uses a synchronous Vue watch and returns an unsubscriber. If a read races subscription setup, the bridge re-reads after subscribing. This package is not a Vue plugin and has not been certified against a live Vue runtime in the offline Section 78 test environment.
