Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Expression Parser

A tiny Node.js expression parser library designed to be embedded in other ZiftrShop projects.

Tests

It contains no external dependencies at runtime and compiles and compresses to ~3kb.

There is an emphasizes simplicity over performance since expressions are not called often and do not need to be fast.

Syntax

Expressions support the following opperators: ==, !=, >, <, >=, <=.

You can sepperate expression using AND and OR and also group expressions with ( and ). The order of opperations when mixing AND/OR is undefined behavior so best practice is to use parenthesis for disambiguation.

Installing

npm install --save @ziftrshop/filter-expressions

Running Tests

npm run test

Packaging

npm run dist

This will create a file dist/zs-expression-lib.js that is suitable for user in browsers or to copy and paste (embed) in a Node.js. It will assign the library to a variable called ZiftrshopExpressions.
