Node API for Peaq App (Ledger Nano S/X)
Readme
@zondax/ledger-peaq-js

This package provides a basic client library to communicate with a Peaq App running in a Ledger Nano S/S+/X devices
We recommend using the npmjs package in order to receive updates/fixes.
Use yarn install to avoid issues.
Usage
Every peaq method is an EVM method, driven by Ledger's
Device Management Kit Ethereum
signer, so PeaqApp requires the DMK session behind the transport as its second argument:
import { DeviceManagementKitBuilder } from "@ledgerhq/device-management-kit";
import { DMKTransport } from "@zondax/ledger-js";
import { PeaqApp } from "@zondax/ledger-peaq";
const dmk = new DeviceManagementKitBuilder().addTransport(/* web-hid, node-hid... */).build();
const sessionId = await dmk.connect({
device,
sessionRefresherOptions: { isRefresherDisabled: true },
});
const app = new PeaqApp(new DMKTransport(dmk, sessionId), { dmk, sessionId });
await app.getETHAddress("m/44'/60'/0'/0/0");
await app.signEVMTransaction("m/44'/60'/0'/0/0", rawTxHex);Any object with a hw-transport-style send(cla, ins, p1, p2, data?, statusList?) still works as the
first argument, but the deprecated @ledgerhq/hw-transport packages stop working against Ledger's
services in September 2026.
Available commands
| Operation | Response | Command | | ------------------- | --------------------------- | --------------------------- | | getVersion | app version | --------------- | | appInfo | name, version, flags, etc | --------------- | | deviceInfo | fw and mcu version, id, etc | Only available in dashboard | | signEVMTransaction | signed message | path + raw tx hex | | getETHAddress | pubkey + address | path | | signPersonalMessage | signed message | path + message |
Testing with real devices
It is possible to test this package with a real Ledger Nano device. To accomplish that, you will need to follow these steps:
- Install the application in the Ledger device
- Install the dependencies from this project
- Run tests
yarn install
yarn test:integrationWho we are?
