Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

An NPM module for generating OAuth2 credentails for Google Adword API

How to get client_d and client_secret

Installation

$ npm install -g ads-token-gen

Or you can install as a dev-dependency and use npx instead.

Usage

Start by generating the Authentication URL by running:

$ export AW_CLIENT_ID=client_id
$ export AW_CLIENT_SECRET=client_secret
$ ads-token-gen --url

NOTE: You can also change the scope from the default one (Adwords) by supplying --scope <scope-url>

The auth url will be generated and copied to the clipboard. Paste it on your browser.

Follow the authorization directions and copy the code generated (at the final stage). Use the code obtained in the command below:

$ ads-token-gen --code <code>
