aedibase-install
One command to connect your AI coding agent to your aedibase
backend over MCP. Mirrors npx @insforge/install.
npx aedibase-install --client claude-code --env AEDIBASE_TOKEN=aedu_...Get a token with npx aedibase-cli login or mint one in the console (API tokens).
Then restart your agent and tell it: "call the aedibase get_instructions tool,
then add email login and a todos table with row-level security."
What it does
Writes the aedibase MCP server (npx -y aedibase-mcp) into your client's MCP
config, merging into any existing config (it never clobbers your other MCP
servers), with your token in the server's env.
Options
| | |
|---|---|
| --client <name> | one of the clients below (omit to pick interactively) |
| --env KEY=VALUE | repeatable. AEDIBASE_TOKEN is required; AEDIBASE_URL defaults to https://app.aedify.ai |
| --dev | register aedibase-mcp@dev instead of @latest |
Supported clients
claude-code, cursor, windsurf, cline, roocode, trae, qoder,
kiro, copilot, codex, antigravity, opencode.
Each is written to that client's own config location (e.g. Claude Code →
./.mcp.json + enables it in .claude/settings.local.json; Cursor →
~/.cursor/mcp.json; Copilot → ./.vscode/mcp.json; Codex → via codex mcp add).
