Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Pull immutable AgentConfigHub releases with transactional backups and crash recovery

Readme

AgentConfigHub CLI

Pull immutable releases from a self-hosted AgentConfigHub server and install them transactionally into native coding-agent configuration directories.

Requirements

  • Node.js 24 or newer
  • An AgentConfigHub server
  • A browser-approved device token or a pull-only automation token

npx --yes agent-config-hub@latest login \
  --server https://agent-config-hub.example.com \
  --name "$(hostname)"

Open the verification URL printed by the CLI and approve the displayed user code in the server's Devices page.

Pull a release

List available configuration groups:

npx --yes agent-config-hub@latest config-sets

Preview changes before writing files:

npx --yes agent-config-hub@latest pull \
  --profile main \
  --agent omp \
  --dry-run

Install the latest immutable release:

npx --yes agent-config-hub@latest pull \
  --profile main \
  --agent omp

The adapter supplies each Agent's default destination. Override a root for one invocation when needed:

npx --yes agent-config-hub@latest pull \
  --profile main \
  --agent omp \
  --target-root "omp-home=$HOME/.omp/agent"

Inspect the installed state:

npx --yes agent-config-hub@latest status --profile main

Automation

Keep pull tokens out of command arguments:

export AGENT_CONFIG_HUB_SERVER='https://agent-config-hub.example.com'
export AGENT_CONFIG_HUB_TOKEN='agch_auto_...'
npx --yes agent-config-hub@latest pull --profile main --agent omp

Safety model

The CLI validates the immutable manifest, streams and hashes downloads, stages replacements on the destination filesystem, backs up overwritten and deleted managed files, rejects unsafe links, and commits through a crash-recoverable journal. It refuses to delete locally modified managed files unless --force-remove-modified is explicitly supplied.

Commands:

agent-config-hub login --server <url> [--name <device>]
agent-config-hub logout
agent-config-hub config-sets
agent-config-hub pull --profile <slug> [--agent <id>...] [--dry-run]
  [--target-root <root>=<path>] [--replace-symlink] [--force-remove-modified]
agent-config-hub status --profile <slug>
agent-config-hub backups list|restore <id>|delete <id>
agent-config-hub roots list|set <root-id> <absolute-path>|reset <root-id>
