Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Agent Runtime Map

Turn every Agent feature into an evidence-backed execution circuit you can inspect step by step.

Open the live demo · GitHub

npx agent-runtime-map@latest .

Install it into a project:

npm install --save-dev agent-runtime-map
npx agent-runtime-map .

Keep the map current on GitHub

npx agent-runtime-map init --github

This writes agent-runtime-map.config.json and a workflow that rebuilds the map on every push and pull request. The workflow grants contents: read and nothing more, and never commits anything back to your branch.

Runner requirement. The action runs on Node 24, which needs Actions Runner 2.327.1 or newer. GitHub-hosted runners are already there and need nothing. A self-hosted runner pinned below that must be updated first, or the action fails at its first step.

The command analyzes the selected project, writes .logic-map/graph.json, starts a local viewer, and opens it in the browser. Choose a feature from the left to play, pause, single-step, replay, or switch between its inferred branches on one global Agent graph. Chain Doctor marks verified steps green, uncertainty yellow, and deterministic failures red with source evidence and a suggested repair.

Playback is an explicit simulation of the statically compiled code route; it does not claim that a live request is executing.

Analysis is local by default. The Project Reader safely uses README/docs/PRD, prompts, package metadata, and agent-runtime-map.config.json together with TypeScript/JavaScript AST evidence. It excludes environment files, credentials, private keys, dependencies, build output, and VCS metadata, and never executes the inspected project.

Optional semantic enrichment is explicit:

OPENAI_API_KEY="..." npx agent-runtime-map . \
  --semantic openai \
  --semantic-model <model>

This mode sends a bounded evidence snapshot, not the absolute project root or raw source files. It can improve names and descriptions for existing graph IDs, but it cannot add topology or evidence.

Use agent-runtime-map analyze . to generate JSON without starting a server. The original logic-map command remains available as an alias. See the project repository for supported frameworks, context limits, privacy behavior, and contribution guidelines.

The CLI and Viewer automatically use Chinese for Chinese locales and English for other locales. Pass --locale zh-CN or --locale en to override detection.
