A CLI tool to download and install AI coding rules and skills for various AI assistants.

Supported Tools

• Cursor - IDE-specific rules for Cursor editor
• Claude - Rules for Claude AI assistant
• Antigravity - Antigravity platform rules
• Copilot - GitHub Copilot prompts

Installation

npm install -g aicoding-rules

Or run directly with npx:

npx aicoding-rules

Usage

Interactive Mode

Run without arguments to select rules interactively:

npx aicoding-rules

You'll see a checkbox menu:

? Select rules to install: (Press <space> to select, <a> to toggle all)
 ◯ Cursor rules
 ◯ Claude rules
 ◯ Antigravity rules
 ◯ Copilot prompts

Direct Commands

Install specific rules directly:

npx aicoding-rules cursor
npx aicoding-rules claude
npx aicoding-rules antigravity
npx aicoding-rules copilot

Install all rules at once:

npx aicoding-rules all

Skills

Install AI coding skills with interactive selection:

npx aicoding-rules skills

Use --replace flag to remove and reinstall existing skill folders:

npx aicoding-rules skills --replace

Authentication

The tool uses Plus4U OIDC authentication. On first run, a browser window will open for you to log in. The authentication token is cached for the session.

Configuration

Create ~/.aicoding-rules.json to override default settings:

Custom rules defined in the config file will appear in the interactive menu.

Output

Rules are extracted to the current working directory. Run the command from the root of your project.

Requirements

• Node.js >= 18.0.0
• Plus4U account with access to the rules repository
