Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

AllowLatch

SERV Policy Copilot + spending turnstile for financial AI agents on Base (USDC). Works with stacks like OpenServ + Coinbase AgentKit - not limited to one SDK.

Live demo: https://allowlatch.vercel.app
Repo: https://github.com/aspekt19/AllowLatch
Guide: docs/GUIDE.md · Connect: docs/CONNECT.md · Pitch: docs/PITCH.md · llms.txt · agent.json
Security: docs/SECURITY.md · docs/AUDIT.md

Reasoning drafts the law. Code judges every spend. The agent signs only after ALLOW + allow-receipt.

No end-user SERV/CDP host keys — you never run the host. Agents that call the gate still need a Base USDC payer for x402 ($0.025). Required: createGatedAgentKit({ kind: 'site' }) so the signer cannot bypass the latch. assertSpend alone is advisory. Hybrid Spend Permissions when available. Primary: always-on https://allowlatch.vercel.app/api/gate (browser free to try; agents pay). OpenServ is an optional fallback. Embed: npm i allowlatch · MCP: npx allowlatch-mcp · skill: skills/allowlatch. Full guide: docs/GUIDE.md.

Product name is AllowLatch. Unrelated third-party sites with similar names are not this project.

For end users

Tell your agent:

Connect to AllowLatch via https://allowlatch.vercel.app (Go live → Connect pack). Use createGatedAgentKit({ kind: "site" }) with gateUrl + sessionSeal. assertSpend alone is advisory.

Solution

| Layer | Role | |-------|------| | SERV Reasoning (host) | Draft / revise / explain - Multipath, prompt_guard, shadow | | Deterministic engine | Caps, allowlists, escalate - never LLM judgment | | Coinbase AgentKit | Signs USDC only after ALLOW | | Vercel /api/gate + native x402 | Always-on connect & pay for agents | | OpenServ x402 | Optional marketplace fallback |

Scripts

npm install
npm run test # engine + receipt unit tests
npm run ui # dialog UI (live SERV via /api/copilot when key set)
npm run wow # full SERV → injection → gate → explain → AgentKit
npm run battle # Spender → gate → AgentKit dry-run
npm run connect # optional: discover OpenServ AllowLatch Gate (fallback)
npm run agent:gated # AgentKit spender with gate baked in
npm run http:gate # local HTTP evaluate/execute (builder/dev)
npm run deploy:host # operator: always-on OpenServ Cloud host
npm run dev # operator: local tunnel host (dev)

End users: docs/CONNECT.md. Operator hosting: docs/HOSTED.md.
Operator .env: SERV_API_KEY, OPENSERV_USER_API_KEY (cloud deploy), optional CDP_*.

Pitch

Say the rules in words. SERV turns them into a policy you can review. Without ALLOW, the agent cannot spend.
