🌐 ASTM — Lightweight Asset Manager

ASTM (Asset Manager) is a simple, zero-dependency command-line tool to manage project assets locally.
It keeps your files organized under ~/.local/share/astm/assets and allows you to fetch them into any project destination in seconds.

⚙️ Installation

Install globally via npm:

npm install -g astm-cli

Or using pnpm:

pnpm add -g astm-cli

astm <command> [args]

Commands

🪄 Examples

1. Initialize the asset destination

Set where you want your assets to be copied to in your current project:

astm init ./src/assets/shared

2. Add an asset to your library

Store a folder or file in the global ASTM library:

astm add logo ~/Downloads/brand-logo/

3. Fetch an asset into your project

Copy the stored asset into your project's initialized destination:

astm fetch logo

4. List all assets

See everything you have stored:

astm list

⌨️ Bash Completion

To enable bash autocompletion, add the following line to your ~/.bashrc:

source <(cat $(npm root -g)/astm-cli/completions/astm.bash)

This will give you tab-suggestions for commands and even the names of your stored assets when using fetch or remove.

🧩 Directory Structure

ASTM stores everything in your home directory:

~/.local/share/astm/
