What's a "skill"?

A skill is a detailed instruction set that turns a general AI into a specialist. Instead of figuring out the right prompt yourself, you give the AI a skill and it works like a consultant who already knows the frameworks, checklists, and output formats.

Without a skill: "Can you audit my site's SEO?" → vague, generic advice

With a skill: Structured audit covering technical SEO, on-page issues, content gaps, and a prioritized fix list — the same process a $200/hr consultant would follow.

How to Use

Pick a skill, copy the prompt, paste it into your AI tool. That's it.

Option A: Browse on soku.ai (easiest)

1. Go to soku.ai/skills
2. Find the skill you need (filter by category like SEO, CRO, Growth, etc.)
3. Click "Copy Prompt"
4. Paste into your AI tool and start chatting

Option B: Use a SKILL.md file from this repo

1. Open any skill folder (e.g. skills/seo-audit/SKILL.md)
2. Copy everything below the --- frontmatter block (the markdown content)
3. Paste it as your first message or system prompt

Option C: Create a skill on claude.ai using Claude's skill-creator

Claude.ai has a built-in skill-creator that can turn any SKILL.md into a properly formatted skill for you.

1. Start a new project on claude.ai
2. Paste this prompt along with the SKILL.md content:

   Let's create a skill together using your skill-creator skill. First i will give you a skill.md: [paste SKILL.md content here]

3. Claude will read the skill-creator guide, draft the skill, run test cases, and package it automatically

4. Once Claude finishes, click "Save skill" to add it to your skill library

5. The skill is now in your library — you can use it in any conversation

Option D: Install as a Claude Code slash command

If you use Claude Code (Anthropic's CLI tool):

Then type /seo-audit inside Claude Code to activate the skill.

Using Skills in Different AI Tools
