Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

🏛️ AxiomWeb: The World-Class Cinematic Web Engine

AxiomWeb is not a template or a theme. It is a Global Standard—a set of high-fidelity architectural protocols that transform any AI agent into an elite Creative Developer and Software Architect.

By implementing AxiomWeb, you move beyond "websites" and begin building Digital Experiences defined by Temporal Fluidity, Spatial Depth, and Seamless Continuity, backed by enterprise-grade engineering.

🚀 Quick Start (Instant Installation)

The fastest way to activate the AxiomWeb Standard is via the Universal Deployer.

🌐 For Hermes Agent Users (Global Install)

An AxiomWeb Skill is a set of high-fidelity architectural protocols that "upgrade" your AI agent's cognitive framework. Install it once to enable these standards across all your projects.

npx axiomweb

Step: Once the menu opens, select [Global Install]. ⚠️ Windows Users: If you are using Hermes inside WSL, you MUST run this command inside your WSL terminal.

Activate: Paste this prompt into your agent to ignite the engine: "Activate AxiomWeb. Adopt the AxiomWeb Orchestrator persona and initialize Phase 0 for this project."

📦 For Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenCode (Local Install)

  1. Setup: Open your terminal inside your project root directory.
  2. Deploy: Run the following command:
    npx axiomweb
Once the menu opens, select [Local Install]. This will create a /.axiomweb directory containing the full standard.
  3. Activate: Paste the following prompt into your AI agent to ignite the engine: "Initialize AxiomWeb. Read the standard in ./.axiomweb/SKILL.md and adopt the AxiomWeb Orchestrator persona for this project."

💎 The AxiomWeb Standard

A project is only AxiomWeb Certified if it achieves a perfect balance between the Visual Soul and the Engineering Brain.

🎨 The Visual Soul (The Experience)

  • Temporal Fluidity: No jerky movements. All motion uses organic easing via GSAP and inertial scrolling via Lenis.
  • Spatial Depth: Creation of "Atmospheric Layers" using Three.js and Spline to create a visceral sense of 3D space.
  • Seamless Continuity: Zero "white flashes." Barba.js ensures the site feels like a single, continuous cinematic sequence.
  • Mathematical Fidelity: Beyond aesthetics, we enforce precise modular scales, vertical rhythm, and perceptual color theory to ensure a "luxury" professional finish.

⚙️ The Engineering Brain (The Foundation)

  • Zero-Trust Security: Implementation of OWASP standards, secure API gateways, and hardened authentication.
  • Architectural Scalability: Decoupled Headless CMS architecture for instant content updates without redeploying code.
  • Performance Parity: Rigorous optimization to maintain $\ge 60\text{fps}$ on Desktop and $\ge 30\text{fps}$ on Mobile.

🛠️ The Technical Stack

The following is the Recommended Gold Standard for achieving maximum cinematic fidelity. While these protocols can be adapted to other modern frameworks, this stack ensures the most seamless implementation of the AxiomWeb standard.

The Cinematic Six (Visuals)

  • Next.js + TypeScript: The high-performance, type-safe foundation.
  • Lenis: Smooth, inertial scrolling.
  • GSAP: Complex animation orchestration and ScrollTrigger.
  • Three.js / Spline: 3D depth and atmospheric backgrounds.
  • Barba.js: Seamless page transitions.
  • AnimeJS: High-fidelity micro-interactions.

The Core Foundation (Engineering)

  • Headless CMS: (Strapi / Sanity / Contentful) for decoupled content management.
  • Zero-Trust Security: JWT, OAuth2, and secure middleware layers.
  • Asset Pipeline: Next/Image optimization, WebP/AVIF conversion, and CDN edge-caching.
  • Infrastructure: Vercel/AWS for global edge deployment and low-latency delivery.

📋 The Execution Roadmap

AxiomWeb operates through a strict, phased implementation:

  1. Phase 0: Adaptive Tiering $\rightarrow$ Categorizing projects into Showcase, Brand, or Business to prevent over-engineering.
  2. Phase 1: Blueprinting $\rightarrow$ Defining the brand "Mood" and User Flow.
  3. Phase 2: The Invisible Foundation $\rightarrow$ Security, Backend, and Asset Pipelines.
  4. Phase 3: The Structural Skeleton $\rightarrow$ Layout and Core Routing.
  5. Phase 4: The Cinematic Layer $\rightarrow$ Implementing the "Cinematic Six."
  6. Phase 5: Adaptive Optimization $\rightarrow$ Precision tuning for Desktop Ultra and Mobile, utilizing a self-correcting visual loop for pixel-perfect fidelity.
  7. Phase 6: Zero-Failure Audit $\rightarrow$ Final verification via mathematical design analysis and the AxiomWeb Checklist.
