Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

backbeatin (npm wrapper)

Prove your Restic/Borg backups are actually restorable.

This package is a thin wrapper around the native backbeatin binary. On install, postinstall downloads the binary for your platform from the matching GitHub release and verifies its SHA-256 against the release's SHA256SUMS manifest before extracting it.

bun install -g backbeatin
# or
npm install -g backbeatin

Supported platforms: Linux (x86_64, aarch64), macOS (x86_64, aarch64).

Requires Docker, plus the restic or borg CLI. See the repository README for usage, the security model, and full Ed25519 release-signature verification instructions.
