Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Blackbox Code Companion

The Blackbox Code Companion extension seamlessly integrates Blackbox Code. This extension is compatible with both VS Code and VS Code forks.

Features

  • Open Editor File Context: Blackbox Code gains awareness of the files you have open in your editor, providing it with a richer understanding of your project's structure and content.

  • Selection Context: Blackbox Code can easily access your cursor's position and selected text within the editor, giving it valuable context directly from your current work.

  • Native Diffing: Seamlessly view, modify, and accept code changes suggested by Blackbox Code directly within the editor.

  • Launch Blackbox Code: Quickly start a new Blackbox Code session from the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P or Ctrl+Shift+P) by running the "Blackbox Code: Run" command.

Requirements

To use this extension, you'll need:

  • VS Code version 1.101.0 or newer
  • Blackbox Code (installed separately) running within the VS Code integrated terminal
