Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Install python on mac osx

  1. Install homebrew (http://brew.sh) /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"
  2. Install python environment brew install pyenv
  3. Install dedidacted python version pyenv install 3.10.6
  4. Set Up Your MacOS PATH for pyenv ZSH echo -e 'if command -v pyenv 1>/dev/null 2>&1; then\n eval "$(pyenv init --path)"\n eval "$(pyenv init -)"\nfi' >> ~/.zshrc
  5. Set a Version of Python to Global Default pyenv global 3.10.6
  6. Show Versions pyenv versions

Install python on windows

install required packages

pip3 install -r requirements.txt

generate database

Start frontend

Run with local python environment

Im Projektordner in der Pythonkonsole flask run eingeben.

Using docker

Im Projektordner in der Pythonkonsole per docker ein docker image erzeugen docker build -t books-frontend .

Danach wird in docker desktop unter "images" "currency" angezeigt, dort auf run klicken (optional: port 5000 auswählen) nun läuft flask in docker
