Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

BorderColorAnimate

jQuery plugin to animate border color.

Syntax

$(<selector>).BorderColorAnimate( hexcolor [, duration ] [, complete ] ) //Returns jQuery object of <selector>

Usage

Include the plugin after your jQuery:

<head>
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="bordercoloranimate.js"></script>
</head>

Animate:

$(<selector>).BorderColorAnimate('#ff1a4b');

Duration same as in jQuery:

Given in milliseconds; higher values indicate slower animations, not faster ones. The default duration is 400 milliseconds. The strings 'fast' and 'slow' can be supplied to indicate durations of 200 and 600 milliseconds, respectively.

$(<selector>).BorderColorAnimate('#ff1a4b', 1000);

Custom complete function can be provided at the end, which will be executed after animation complete:

  • this refers to <selector> element inside custom function
$(<selector>).BorderColorAnimate('#ff1a4b', 1000, function(){$(this).BorderColorAnimate('#66ff1a');});
