Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

A fast, provider-agnostic terminal coding harness

Readme

Brisk

Brisk is a provider-agnostic terminal coding harness (Bun, Solid, OpenTUI). It owns the agent loop, tools, permissions, sessions, context compaction, and subagents; @oh-my-pi/pi-ai handles most provider transports and authentication. Cursor models use the Cursor Agent SDK.

Requirements

  • Bun 1.3.14+
  • Linux, macOS, or Windows terminal
  • Provider credentials, or a keyless local OpenAI-compatible endpoint

Install

npm — package brisk-ai, binary brisk:

bun add --global --trust brisk-ai
brisk version

Use --trust so postinstall can add Bun's global bin directory to your PATH. Node is not supported.

Standalone — download the release for your platform (brisk-linux-x64, brisk-linux-arm64, brisk-darwin-x64, brisk-darwin-arm64, or brisk-windows-x64) and use its directory as-is. Verify brisk-release-SHA256SUMS before extracting when installing manually.

Source:

bun install --frozen-lockfile
bun run dev

Brisk checks for a newer release after the TUI's first frame. When notified, update either a global package installation or a complete standalone release directory with:

brisk update

User data and config paths: Configuration.

First run

export ANTHROPIC_API_KEY='...' # or: brisk auth login anthropic
brisk models --refresh
brisk --model anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-5 /path/to/project

The TUI mounts before configuration, sessions, providers, or network I/O. Set defaultModel in config to skip interactive model selection.

CLI

brisk [directory] [--model M] [--permission-mode safe|write|yolo] [--continue | --session ID] [--fake-provider]
brisk auth <login|logout|status> [provider]
brisk models [--refresh] brisk sessions brisk doctor brisk bench brisk update brisk version

Slash commands, keybindings, and permission modes: Usage. Providers and OAuth: Providers.
