Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Broddy

Copy any SPA or static site in one command.

npx broddy https://google.com

done. folder mirror is ready to python -m http.server.

install

npm i -g broddy

usage

broddy <url> [--sourcemaps] [output-folder]

# explicit pages

# auto crawl depth-1

what it does

  • grabs html
  • grabs css/js/images/fonts
  • rewrites links to ./assets
  • creates dirs for /deep/nested paths
  • downloads dynamic chunks (webpack, vite, dynamic imports)
  • handles source maps (with --sourcemaps flag)
  • zero 404s after serving

why

wget/htttrack miss lazy chunks and dynamic imports. broddy handles them all.

node 18+, cheerio, fetch, regex. single file.
