Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

browserify-nodent

browserify-nodent is a transform for browserify that compiles the ES7 keywords async and await for your ES5 browser. It doesn't need Promises or Generators, or anything else - it just generates working JavaScript.

The compiler itself is nodent, where you can more infromation and examples of async and await in action.

Installation

npm install browserify-nodent

Example

npm test

Compiles using the command line:

cd example
browserify -t browserify-nodent --debug main.js >out.js
open ./index.html
cd ..

Opening the resulting example/index.html will demonstrate the use of async and await in your HTML/JS pages in the browser.
