Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

ccproxy-server

v0.1.0

OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible HTTP API served by your local Claude Code CLI, with API keys, admin console and request logs

ccproxy-server

An OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible HTTP API served by the Claude Code CLI on the machine where this server runs. Apps and SDKs that talk to OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter can point at it instead and use your Claude Code subscription.

Full documentation, comparison and client packages: https://github.com/wubbyweb/ccproxy

Requirements (server machine only)

  • Node.js 18+
  • Claude Code installed and logged in: claude --version works and claude -p "hi" answers

Clients of this server need neither. They only need the server's URL and an API key.

Install and run

npm install -g ccproxy-server
ccproxy doctor # checks the Claude Code CLI can answer a turn
ccproxy serve # http://127.0.0.1:8787
ccproxy admin token # token for the admin console at /admin

Open http://127.0.0.1:8787/admin, sign in with the token, create an API key, and give that key to your apps:

curl -s http://127.0.0.1:8787/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer sk-ccp-..." -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"model":"sonnet","messages":[{"role":"user","content":"Hello!"}]}'

Clients: npm install ccproxy-client, pip install ccproxy-client, or the official openai / anthropic SDKs with the base URL set to this server.

Commands

ccproxy serve [--port 8787] [--host 127.0.0.1]
ccproxy admin token | reset-token
ccproxy keys list | create [--name <label>] | disable <ref> | enable <ref> | revoke <ref>
ccproxy doctor

Configuration is by environment variables (CCPROXY_PORT, CCPROXY_HOST, CCPROXY_DEFAULT_MODEL, CCPROXY_MAX_CONCURRENCY, CCPROXY_RATE_LIMIT, CCPROXY_LOG_LEVEL, ...) or ~/.ccproxy/config.json. See the repository README for the full table.
