What it does

Centrail is the system of record for AI work. The CLI reads the usage logs your coding agents already write on your machine, attributes tokens to the git commits they helped produce, and syncs usage metadata to your dashboard at centrail.org.

Privacy first

The CLI reads logs locally. Usage uploads contain an opaque event ID, model, token counts, and timestamp. To a server that accepts them, once you have chosen which repos sync, they add the repo identity (github.com/owner/repo or a root-commit hash, its root commit and the folder name), the session id, the branch, and a random per-install id. Git attribution contains the repo name, branch, commit SHA, commit time and aggregate line/file counts, and to a server that accepts them a content hash of each commit's change (git patch-id) that proves a rebased or squashed commit is the same work without revealing it. Absolute paths, hostnames, platform details, provider-account details, prompts, completions, diffs, commit messages and source code are never uploaded; npx centrail inspect --last prints the real payload.
