Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Manage your npm files with ease

Install

$ npm install --save chnpm

Usage

var chnpm = require('chnpm');

chnpm.current();
//=> 'http://registry.npmjs.org'

CLI

$ npm install --global chnpm
  Manage your npm files with ease

  Usage
    $ chnpm [options] [name]

  Examples
    $ chnpm
    Currently on http://registry.npmjs.org

    $ chnpm --save npmjs
    Config saved to ~/.npmjs.npmrc

    $ npm config set registry http://registry.local.org
    $ chnpm --save local
    Config saved to ~/.local.npmrc

    $ chnpm local
    Switched to http://registry.local.org

  Options
    --save NAME  Save current configuration to ~/.NAME.npmrc

API

chnpm.current()

Returns current registry url.

chnpm.save(name)

Saves current config file as ~/.${name}.npmrc.

chnpm.load(name)

Saves ~/.${name}.npmrc as current config file.
