Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

claude-ace

A small Node CLI that scans your Claude Code session logs in ~/.claude/projects/ and renders a pretty terminal summary — token totals, top models, event types — with a hydration animation.

No network calls. No accounts. No data leaves your machine.

Install

npm install -g claude-ace
# or run from a clone:
node ./bin/cli.js

Requires Node 20+.

Usage

claude-ace                 # render the report (animated)
claude-ace --no-animate    # skip the animation
claude-ace --help

Environment

| Variable | Notes | | --- | --- | | CLAUDE_ACE_NO_ANIMATE | Set to 1 to disable animation (same as --no-animate). | | NO_COLOR | Standard — disables ANSI colors and the animation. |
