Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Claude Code API Key setup helper for workshops and training sessions.

Usage

# Setup with API key
npx claude-api-setup sk-ant-your-api-key

# Restore original settings
npx claude-api-setup restore

What it does

  1. Backs up existing ~/.claude/settings.json
  2. Sets apiKeyHelper in settings so Claude Code authenticates with the provided key
  3. No signup or onboarding required — just run claude to start

For instructors

  1. Get an API key from Anthropic Console
  2. Set a monthly spending limit (important!)
  3. Share the key with students during the workshop
  4. After the workshop: revoke the key in Anthropic Console
