Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

claudius-chat-widget

v1.18.0

Published

Embeddable AI chat widget powered by Claude. Drop-in React component or standalone script embed, backed by a Cloudflare Worker.

Readme

claudius-chat-widget

npm license

Embeddable AI chat widget powered by Claude. Drop it into any React app as a component, or use the standalone script embed on any website.

Full documentation: claudius-docs.pages.dev

Live playground: claudius-playground.pages.dev — tweak every prop and copy an embed snippet.

Claudius is two pieces: a Cloudflare Worker that keeps your Anthropic API key server-side, and this widget. You point the widget at your deployed worker via apiUrl. See the worker setup guide to stand up the backend first.

Install

npm install claudius-chat-widget react react-dom

react and react-dom (v18 or v19) are peer dependencies — install them alongside the widget.

Usage

import { ChatWidget } from "claudius-chat-widget";
import "claudius-chat-widget/style.css";

export function App() {
  return (
    <ChatWidget
      apiUrl="https://claudius-chat-worker.<you>.workers.dev"
      title="Support"
      subtitle="Ask me anything"
      theme="auto"
    />
  );
}

Import the stylesheet once anywhere in your app (it ships separately so bundlers can tree-shake the component when unused).

Common props

| Prop | Type | Required | Description | | ---------- | -------------------- | -------- | -------------------------------------------- | | apiUrl | string | Yes | URL of your deployed Claudius worker. | | title | string | No | Header title shown in the chat window. | | subtitle | string | No | Header subtitle / tagline. | | theme | ClaudiusThemeInput | No | "auto", a built-in theme name, or a custom token object. | | position | WidgetPosition | No | Corner the launcher docks to. |

The full prop set is exported as the ChatWidgetProps type. See the configuration docs for triggers, localization, and theming.

Exports

  • claudius-chat-widget — the ChatWidget component plus theming, i18n, and the typed ChatApiClient. Ships dual ESM (import) and CommonJS (require) builds with TypeScript declarations.
  • claudius-chat-widget/style.css — the widget stylesheet.
  • claudius-chat-widget/embed — the prebuilt IIFE bundle for <script> usage.

Standalone script embed (no build step)

Prefer a single <script> tag? Use the CDN channel instead of npm:

<script>
  window.ClaudiusConfig = {
    apiUrl: "https://claudius-chat-worker.<you>.workers.dev",
    title: "Support",
  };
</script>
<link
  rel="stylesheet"
  href="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/PMDevSolutions/Claudius@1/cdn/claudius.css"
/>
<script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/PMDevSolutions/Claudius@1/cdn/claudius.iife.js"></script>
