Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

CLC Forge: The Universal Polyglot AI Agent Governance & Quality Engineering Engine by Carlos Leon Code. Official NPM Package: https://www.npmjs.com/package/clc-forge

🌐 Dedicated Polyglot & Framework Adapters (v1.2.0)

clc-forge is 100% framework and language agnostic. It features dedicated Polyglot Stack Adapters for Next.js, FastAPI, Django, Astro, Rails, Go, Rust, and Laravel:

| Ecosystem Adapter | Auto-Detected Signatures | Test Runner | Dedicated Safeguards & Linters | |---|---|---|---| | ⚛️ Next.js (App Router) | package.json (next) | Vitest / Jest | 10 Frontend Safeguards (UI Reuse, Semantic Tokens, Server Components, Zod Contracts, Next/Image, A11y, Storybook). | | ⚡ FastAPI Framework | pyproject.toml, requirements.txt (fastapi) | Pytest | Pydantic V2 Schemas, Alembic Migration Idempotency, Clean Architecture AST, Scope Guard, Pytest TDD. | | 🎸 Django Framework | manage.py, requirements.txt (django) | pytest-django | Django ORM Migration Idempotency, Ruff AST Linter, pytest-django TDD, Scope Guard. | | 🚀 Astro Framework | astro.config.mjs | Vitest / Playwright | Astro Component Reuse, Tailwind v4 Tokens, A11y & ARIA, Content Collection Schema Guard. | | 💎 Ruby on Rails | Gemfile, config/routes.rb | RSpec / Minitest | RuboCop AST Linter, Brakeman Security, Rails Migration Idempotency, RSpec TDD. | | 🐹 Go (Golang) | go.mod | go test | golangci-lint AST Linter, Go Clean Architecture (Domain/UseCase), go test TDD. | | 🦀 Rust Engine | Cargo.toml | cargo test | cargo clippy AST Linter, cargo audit Security, cargo test TDD. | | 🐘 PHP (Laravel) | composer.json, artisan | Pest / PHPUnit | PHPStan AST Linter, Laravel Migration Idempotency, Pest/PHPUnit TDD. |

💡 Why CLC Forge Exists & The Problem It Solves

AI coding agents (such as Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity, and Gemini CLI) generate code extraordinarily fast. However, without strict behavioral boundaries, AI agents introduce technical debt and silent production failures:

  • Hardcoded Design Tokens & Broken Dark Mode: Inventing arbitrary hex colors (#1a2b3c) or palette classes (bg-slate-50, text-blue-600) instead of semantic theme tokens (bg-primary, text-muted-foreground, border-border).
  • UI Primitive Duplication: Writing raw <button>, <input>, or <select> HTML elements instead of reusing existing atomic components in components/ui/.
  • Runtime API Type Crashes: Consuming backend HTTP responses directly without schema validation, causing TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined.
  • Accessibility (A11y) Neglect: Omitting alt tags on images or aria-label attributes on icon-only buttons.
  • Secret & Credential Leaks: Accidentally committing private API keys, JWT secrets, or RSA keys to client-side bundles or repositories.
  • Clean Architecture Violations: Importing state managers (zustand, react-query) inside presentational UI primitives or placing "use client" directives on root Next.js layout.tsx Server Components.
  • False-Positive Tests & Hallucinated Passes: Claiming features work without executing automated TDD verification cycles (Red-to-Green transition).
