Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

CLI Word Guessing Game is a command-line interface (CLI) application written in Node.js. Installation

To install the application, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository to your local machine:

  1. Navigate to the project directory in your terminal.

  cd cli_word_guessing_game
  1. Run yarn to install the necessary packages.

To start the game, run the following command:

 node .

or you can run this project directly from npm :

  npx cli_word_guessing_game

Configuration

The game allows you to customize certain aspects by modifying the config.js file.

  • WORD_LIST: The list of words from which a random word is selected. You can modify this list and add your own words.
  • MAX_ATTEMPTS: The maximum number of attempts allowed to guess the word.
