Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

CLI tool for managing Cursor Cloud Agents

Readme

Cloud Agents CLI

CLI for managing Cursor Cloud Agents. Launch AI agents that work on GitHub repos, create branches, and open PRs. You review and merge the PRs yourself.

Why?

Offload small tasks to parallel agents while you focus on your main work. Each agent creates its own branch and PR. Review and merge when ready.

Installation

Install globally from npm:

npm install -g cloud-agent

Or run without installing:

npx cloud-agent launch --plan plan.md
bunx cloud-agent launch --plan plan.md

Prerequisites: Node.js v18+

Setup

export CURSOR_API_KEY=your_api_key # Get from https://cursor.com/settings

Commands

Launch

cloud-agent launch --plan plan.md
# Output: https://cursor.com/agents?id=bc_abc123

Heredoc syntax:

cloud-agent launch --plan - <<'EOF'
fix: update error message

- Change text in src/auth/login.ts
EOF

Options: --repo, --ref, --branch, --model, --no-auto-pr, --verbose

Models: Auto-selected based on plan complexity. composer-1 (fast) for simple tasks, claude-4.5-opus-high (smart) for complex tasks. Override with --model.

Watch

Block until agent completes:

cloud-agent watch <agent-id>
cloud-agent watch <id1> <id2> --verbose # Multiple agents

List & Status

cloud-agent list # Interactive
cloud-agent list --non-interactive # Plain text
cloud-agent status <agent-id> --non-interactive

Other Commands

cloud-agent followup <agent-id> --messages "Add tests"
cloud-agent conversation <agent-id>
cloud-agent open <agent-id> # Open in browser
cloud-agent open <agent-id> --pr # Open PR
cloud-agent delete <agent-id>
cloud-agent cancel <agent-id>
cloud-agent batch-delete --status FINISHED --force
cloud-agent me # API key info
cloud-agent list-models

Critical Rule

Only launch tasks that modify completely different files. If two plans touch the same file (even different parts), run them sequentially, not in parallel.

Adding to Your Project's AGENTS.md

Generate and append the AGENTS.md template to your project:

cloud-agent agents-md >> AGENTS.md

Or view it first:

cloud-agent agents-md

The template includes detailed instructions on plan structure, examples, and best practices for organizing plans in a plan/ directory.

Development

bun install # Install dependencies
bun cloud-agent.tsx <command> # Run in development mode
bun run build # Build CLI
bun test # Run tests
bun run format # Format code

Examples:

cloud-agent list-models # List available models
cloud-agent launch --plan plan.md # Launch an agent
cloud-agent list # Interactive list
