Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Thin npm launcher for the native cn-health runtime

Readme

cn-health

Native, local-first CLI access to versioned Chinese healthcare reference data. The npm package is a thin launcher around the Rust runtime; it does not contain data or reimplement queries in JavaScript.

Install

Node.js 22 or newer is required for the launcher:

npm install --global [email protected]
cn-health --version

Supported packages are selected automatically:

| Platform | Optional package | |---|---| | Linux x64 | @cn-health/cli-linux-x64 | | macOS Intel | @cn-health/cli-darwin-x64 | | macOS Apple Silicon | @cn-health/cli-darwin-arm64 | | Windows x64 | @cn-health/cli-win32-x64 |

Do not install with --omit=optional; the launcher needs the matching native package. Version 0.2.0 had incorrect Unix executable permissions and is superseded by current releases.

First Query

cn-health init
cn-health laboratory search 白细胞 --json
cn-health laboratory get 0100101A --json
cn-health laboratory panel get CN-LAB-CBC-5DIFF --json
cn-health doctor

init verifies and installs all eight current public Datasets: drug, diagnosis, complete Chinese LOINC, WS/T 886 terminology, geography, names, population, and the adult laboratory runtime. Use --only DATASET_ID[,DATASET_ID...] for selective installation. Raw source workbooks and archives are not distributed.

Consumers that need an exact immutable Release can materialize its original Manifest and verified uncompressed SQLite without depending on the runtime data directory layout:

cn-health dataset materialize laboratory-cn [email protected] \
  --registry https://example.test/registry.json \
  --public-key ./registry.pub \
  --output ./staging/laboratory-cn \
  --json

After initialization, queries and doctor work offline. Use cn-health doctor --json to inspect the effective data directory and Registry.

Development Override

Set CN_HEALTH_BINARY to exercise the launcher against a local build:

cargo build --release -p cn-health
CN_HEALTH_BINARY="$PWD/target/release/cn-health" \
  node npm/cn-health/bin/cn-health.js --version
