Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

An open-source, extensible word processor built on Electron and TypeScript. Cognitience WP brings the power and flexibility of VS Code's extension ecosystem to the world of document editing.

Creating an Extension

See Extension API Guide.

  1. Use Help → Developer: Create New Plugin to scaffold a new plugin
  2. Edit the generated package.json, main.js, and icon.svg
  3. Zip the folder and rename to .cogwp
  4. Install via Extensions → Install from .cogwp...

Or manually:

  1. Create a directory in %APPDATA%/cognitience-wp/extensions/my-extension/
  2. Add a package.json with manifest
  3. Create main.js with exports.activate = function(ctx) { ... }
  4. Restart Cognitience WP
